See the whole business

In the General Management Track, you’ll develop a broad view of business across strategy, finance, marketing, operations, data, leadership, and innovation. You’ll connect those disciplines and use them to assess complex situations, set priorities, and make decisions that move an organization forward.

The track gives you space to build on your existing experience while strengthening the judgment, communication, and leadership capability needed to progress toward broader responsibility, senior leadership, and, over time, C-suite roles.

Course examples

Leadership in Action: Developing Self, Teams & Purpose

Global Strategy in the Age of AI

Financial Management

Applied Economics

Global Operations

The General Management Track could be a strong fit if you:

You’ve built experience in one or more functions and want to understand how the wider business fits together

You’re ready to take on broader responsibility, lead across teams, and make decisions with incomplete information

You’re aiming for a senior leadership path in general management, strategy, consulting, product, operations, or transformation

Develop a portfolio of applied work

At Hult, leadership capability grows through action. Across skills challenges, design sprints, simulations, team projects, and presentations, you’ll work through the decisions leaders face, test your thinking, respond to feedback, and learn to make recommendations people can act on.

The Hult AI Lab adds applied AI practice to that experience. Your capstone challenge gives you the opportunity to work with a real company brief and apply what you’ve learned to a complex business problem. Along the way, you’ll learn to weigh tradeoffs, align stakeholders, and make practical decisions in an international team.

Depending on the project, outputs could include:

Strategic recommendation for a complex business challenge

Growth opportunity assessment

Stakeholder alignment plan

Operating model or implementation plan

Transformation roadmap

Executive presentation or boardroom-ready pitch

Capstone Challenge recommendation for a real company brief

Turn AI into a business advantage

The Hult AI Lab is a credit-bearing part of your Global One-Year MBA. You’ll use AI for analysis, automation, content generation, and productivity, then apply it to real business challenges. For a general manager, that means connecting AI-enabled opportunities to wider questions of strategy, customers, finance, people, operations, and execution.

You’ll also learn when to trust an AI output, when to question it, and when human judgment has to lead. By testing assumptions, checking for bias and hallucinations, and considering the consequences of decisions, you’ll develop the critical thinking needed to use AI responsibly across a business.

Lead with an international perspective

Your MBA experience brings together classmates from different countries, cultures, and professional backgrounds. You’ll study at Hult Boston or Hult London, work through business challenges with an international cohort, and take part in city seminars that connect learning to the places where business happens.

Depending on your program choices and availability, Global Campus Rotation opportunities can add more perspectives, markets, and professional networks to your experience. Working across borders helps you challenge assumptions, communicate with different stakeholders, and make stronger decisions when the context is complex. Those are the habits senior leaders need in global organizations.
