New specializations for Hult’s Global One-Year MBA, Global Executive MBA, and Master of international Business programs

As well as adding a host of new Masters programs, we’ve also updated the specializations available to students on our general business programs to better reflect the needs and aspirations of our students.

Students on our MBA, Executive MBA, or Master of International Business programs can choose to specialize by taking three out of their four possible electives in a certain area. They can specialize in:

  • Marketing
  • Finance
  • Entrepreneurship
  • Project Management

And for 2017, we have added two new specialization options:

  • Family Business
  • Business Analytics

Family Business specialization

Family businesses are the predominant form of enterprise across the world and many of our students are part of a family business. This specialization comprises three courses that explore strategies for management succession, and develop a broad set of leadership, finance, marketing, and management skills which will enable you to formulate strategies for your family business.

The courses will teach you how to leverage the complex interpersonal dynamics of family businesses to expand the company, take your business global, and deliver growth while still maintaining an entrepreneurial culture.

The three courses that make up the Family Business specialization* are:

  • Fundamentals of Building Lasting Family Business
  • Jumpstarting Breakthrough Innovation in Family Businesses
  • Delivering Growth to Transform and Future Proof Your Family Business

* Note: Courses listed above are samples and subject to change; not all courses are available at every campus location.

Business Analytics specialization

In this era of “Big Data,” data analytics and business intelligence skills are in high demand – and in short supply. This specialization gives you the opportunity to equip yourself with the analytical and business capabilities needed to translate data statistics and analysis into action.

Over 70% of businesses have implemented Google Analytics. Yet very few companies are using these tools to anything like their full potential. In a world of increasing information and big data overload, employers actively seek candidates who have the ability to translate data into actionable solutions.

Some sample electives in the Business Analytics specialization are:

  • Data Strategy and Visualization
  • Data Mining for Business Intelligence
  • Data to Insight: Quantitative Skills in the Era of Big Data
  • Quantitative Methods for Management

* Note: Courses listed above are samples and subject to change; not all courses are available at every campus location.
