The Implications of Relational Practice for Team Coaching

This webinar led by Dorothee Stoffels and Simon Cavicchia will present a range of perspectives for understanding the relational dimension of teams. We will make a case for the need to balance linear process models with understanding of and sensitivity to the ways in which team members influence one another’s experience, thinking and behaviour. We will end with some pointers for team coaches wishing to use self as instrument to work with these processes.

Meet the speakers

Simon Cavicchia

Simon Cavicchia

Simon is an internationally experienced Executive Coach, OD Consultant, Coach Supervisor, Team Coach and Lecturer. Simon draws on his experience in consulting, deep human systems understanding and psychology to enable individuals and organisations to successfully navigate the complexities of transformational change processes, develop senior leaders and leadership culture. He is currently a member of faculty on the Ashridge Masters in Executive Coaching and for eight years led the Masters Programme in Coaching Psychology at the Metanoia Institute in London. He was also a faculty member on the Masters in Organisational Development – A Gestalt Approach, also at the Metanoia Institute. He works in Financial Services, the NHS, University Sector, Oil and Gas, Media, Retail and a number of Charities and Public Sector organisations such as the Probation Service.

Dorothee Stoffels

Dorothee is an experienced Executive Coach, member of the Ashridge Coaching Faculty and an Organisational Development Consultant with many years of experience of supporting individuals, teams and organisations through major change.

Originally trained as a couple and family therapist in the NHS, she has always taken a keen interest in how organisations function as systems, and her interventions focus on the relational aspects of human interaction and change.

Her work has spanned across one-to-one executive coaching work, to working with teams and groups, to large organisational change programmes. She brings her systemic thinking and natural curiosity into all of her practice. She observes and works with the patterns that individuals, teams and organisations create with each other and explores narratives that exist about current organisational challenges and problems.
