Supervision is making an important contribution to the professional development and quality assurance of executive coaches and consultants and is becoming a key differentiator. We see supervision as an essential quality assurance process for coaches and consultants. This qualification is designed for experienced executive coaches and organisational development consultants, to help them build their status as senior practitioners and supervisors of coaches and consultants.

EMCC European Supervision Quality Award
Delivered over 14 months, the programme offers an opportunity to be supervised on any aspect of your work, individually and in a group of similarly experienced consultants. We make sure there are live demonstrations and opportunities for live supervision on each of the twelve taught days of the programme.
The first two modules are based on a series of six intensive two-day workshops at Ashridge. The third is the accreditation module through which, in a reflective description of the participant's supervision portfolio and relational philosophy combined with a live demonstration and discussion of supervision, you will be able to demonstrate an appropriate level of competence to achieve formal Ashridge accreditation as a supervisor.

Course content and dates subject to change
At Ashridge we see coaching as a relational practice. While we take it as read that serving our clients is the primary task of a coaching relationship, we have a particular perspective on the nature of this relationship. We take the view that the relationship between coach and client is at the heart of effective coaching and is, therefore, the central vehicle for learning and change. We see this as a mutual and co-creating relationship rather than a remedial contract to solve a problem.
Our Supervision Faculty
Many of our supervision faculty are qualified organisation consultants and psychotherapists as well as practicing executive coaches and supervisors. Their teaching on the Postgraduate Diploma in Organisational Supervision is informed by their research on supervision practice, books they have written on supervision and their contributions to academic journals.
