Programme Overview

We have designed this coaching qualification so you can fit studying in with your life. It's a flexible, three-stage programme with a qualification at each stage.

We draw from experience and research in therapy, counselling and relational coaching to bring you the best and latest thinking about coaching effectiveness. We also invite some of the greatest thinkers and practitioners in the field into the second year of the programme, to complement our skills and experience in working with personal and organisational change in a business context.

Stage 1

Postgraduate Certificate in Executive Coaching

This module comprises 10 days of workshops (face-to-face or online) and a personal reflective journey. This can be completed as a standalone qualification.

Options

  • Individual Coaching (five, two-day workshops)

  • Team Coaching (four workshops over 10 days)

Stage 2

Postgraduate Diploma in Executive Coaching

This consists of an individual coaching accreditation assessment - a half-day preparation workshop and a one-day practicum which includes live coaching. You will achieve Ashridge Accredited Executive Coach status upon successful completion of this assessment. The European Mentoring & Coaching Council recognises this achievement with a European Individual Award (EIA) at Senior Practitioner Level.

Stage 3

Masters in Executive Coaching

The purpose of this final year is to further develop your coaching style towards a mindful and relational presence. It is designed around 4 workshops which include guest presentations from leaders in the field and integrate different theoretical models and frameworks.

Virtual Delivery

Online Masters in Executive Coaching

Today's workplace requires successful relationships to be hybrid. Executive coaches are increasingly working online.

With this in mind, we are now providing the option to complete the Masters in Executive Coaching online. The teaching may be online, but you will experience a highly practical and relational learning environment, providing a safe space for personal and professional transformation.

Ashridge Coaching Philosophy

At Ashridge we see coaching as a relational practice. While we take it as read that serving our clients is the primary task of a coaching relationship, we have a particular perspective on the nature of this relationship. We take the view that the relationship between coach and client is at the heart of effective coaching and is, therefore, the central vehicle for learning and change. We see this as a mutual and co-creating relationship rather than a remedial contract to solve a problem.

Our Coaching Faculty

Many of our coaching faculty are qualified psychotherapists as well as practicing executive coaches. As well as teaching on the online Masters in Executive Coaching they research coaching practice, author books and contribute to academic journals.
