Our dedicated Career Development teams work one-on-one with students at each of our campuses to prepare them for the global job market. Here are a few snapshots of career-related events from Dubai:
One-minute CEO TV pitch
Role-playing as company CEOs, students from the Dubai campus received media coaching before being given one minute to pitch their business idea—live on camera. Students received feedback on their cable television-style video clip, with the goal of helping them learn how best to frame business ideas concisely, clearly, and impactfully.
Career open house
Global employers including Bosch, EY, L'Oréal, Louis Vuitton, and Philips, as well as top local companies, joined students on our Dubai campus for the annual Career Connections Forum. Students heard directly from the companies about their culture and current opportunities and connected with hiring managers, submitted resumes, and arranged interviews.
Bringing lessons to life in Dubai
Dubai campus students went to the largest mall in the world, Dubai Mall, to analyze value propositions of its luxury brand stores. Students were able to contextualize marketing theories through seeing them in action, and recommend appropriate strategies for markets locally, regionally, and globally by experiencing firsthand the problems and opportunities luxury brands face on the ground.
Dubai is at the center of many key industries, including banking and financial services, consulting, construction, and IT. Its strategic location and pro-business policies have led many of the world’s biggest organizations to have a base here. Take advantage of the incredible networking opportunities in this city where almost everyone is international. You’ll make meaningful connections with business leaders both on and off campus.
