Information for Parents

Any Pre-UniX related questions? We have spoken to parents from all corners of the globe and have compiled a list of the most frequently asked questions.

What is the cost and what is included?

The San Francisco and Boston programs each cost $3,800, while the program in London costs £2,950. The fees at all locations include housing in our student accommodation, 3 meals a day, all activities and trips, transportation to and from airport, insurance, all course materials, and certificate at the end of the program. That means that everything is included except the airfare and visa costs (if a visa is needed).

Do you offer any scholarships?

No, we don't offer scholarships. However, we offer a 10% Early Bird discount to everybody who applies and pays in full by February 1, 2019.

When does Pre-UniX start? What about transportation from/to the airport?

For London there will be two sessions to choose from depending on students' availability. Session 1: July 7 - July 21. Session 2: July 28 - August 11.
For Boston and San Francisco, Pre-UniX will take place July 7 - July 21.
We will be at the airport to pick you up upon arrival and arrange transportation back to the airport for departures as well.

Who is responsible for student safety during Pre-UniX?

All Pre-UniX program staff are dedicated to student safety and are specially trained to handle emergency situations. Our experienced Program Manager is always on site to offer student support and can be contacted anytime should students or parents have questions or need help.

Who is the Pre-UniX team? Will someone be available around the clock for student supervision and support?

Our experienced staff and student mentors will be on hand for students 24/7. Hult has decades of experience welcoming students from all over the world to our campuses, as well as supporting international students studying abroad.

Our dedicated Pre-UniX Program Manager and Program Coordinator are on site throughout the program to facilitate the day to day activities, answer any questions, and oversee student health and safety at all times.

During the day, students will spend time on campus with our undergraduate faculty and student mentors. Our specially-trained student mentors help to facilitate classroom activities and, as current Hult undergraduates, they’re happy to share the experience of student life at a global school.

Knowledgeable Hult staff and local tour directors lead our off-campus student excursions, sharing their insight on local culture and points of interest in London, Boston, and San Francisco.

Please note that there is a curfew, 11pm on weekdays and 12am on weekends.

Where is the housing located?

We will provide accommodation for students attending the Pre-uniX program. In London, you will be staying in the undergraduate housing, and for Boston and San Francisco you will be situated in accommodation close to campus. You will be staying in a shared room in our student accommodation and you will be sharing the room with another student of the same sex.

How can students keep in touch with family at home?

Students will have access to free Wi-Fi throughout campus and in our student housing in order to keep in touch with family and friends. If students plan to use their mobile phone abroad, we recommend contacting your local service provider before traveling to ensure your phone will work and to confirm the associated charges.

My child can no longer attend the Pre-UniX program—does Hult offer a refund?

Yes, if for any reason you might need to cancel up to 30 days before the program start date, Hult will refund the program fee in full, less the deposit amount. Unfortunately, because we must supply course materials and arrange for transportation and activities in advance, we cannot offer a refund for students who cancel less than 30 days before the program start date.

This summer program is a fantastic opportunity. We were amazed to see how international the school was, with students from dozens of nationalities. My daughter loved the program and was so impressed with the facilities, all the classes, and the activities.
