Student Teams from Mexico and China Win the 2025 Hult Future Leaders Challenge
We’re proud to announce that talented teams of high school students from Mexico and China have been named the 2025 Hult Future Leaders Challenge winners. This annual competition immerses 15- to 18-year-old students from around the world in team-centered experiential learning, challenging them to solve real-world business problems. For this year’s challenge, Hult joined forces with Barça Innovation Hub to invite teams to solve a key business challenge in the sports technology industry.
More than 2,900 students from 52 countries entered the contest in September 2025. Following an 11-week competition, two teams were named first-place winners on December 12.
Boston winning team:
- Trinity from PrepaTec Campus Eugenio Garza Sada in Mexico
London winning team:
- Team Sature from Financial Prodigy in China
Second and third place winners include:
- Innovative Investors from American Heritage Schools in Florida (second place, Boston)
- 4AST from The British School in Manila, Philippines (second place, London)
- Midas Consulting from American Heritage Schools in Florida and TASIS Knights from TASIS Portugal (third place, Boston)
- Baseera from Kingdom International School in Saudi Arabia (third place, London)
The annual Hult Future Leaders Challenge (HFLC), initially launched in 2022, provides the opportunity for thousands of young learners from across the world to participate in ideation, teamwork, and experiential learning, while also gaining experience working with real-world companies.
Working in teams of four to six students, the HFLC guides teams on a nearly three-month journey of challenge-based learning. All teams participate in the first four weeks of the challenge. Proposals and presentations are assessed throughout the competition to narrow teams to a group of 20 finalists. This year, finalist teams came from schools in 14 different nations, including Brazil, China, Colombia, Costa Rica, the Czech Republic, India, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Mexico, the Philippines, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, the UK, and the US.
For the 2025 challenge, teams were asked to come up with a product that addresses smart technology innovation in sports or athlete health and recovery. Boston winner Trinity devised a reusable cup for fans to use at games, while London winner Sature created a smart soccer ball. Each member of the winning teams will receive a scholarship of 15,000 USD per academic year to study Hult’s Bachelor of Business Administration program. Second- and third-place winners also receive scholarships of 10,000 USD and 5,000 USD, respectively, to study at Hult.
