Meet Hult’s incoming Undergraduate Class of 2018

The May 1 confirmation deadline for Hult’s Bachelor of Business Administration program is fast approaching, and we’re excited to see that the incoming Class of 2018 is already full of diverse, ambitious, and creative students. With new Hultians confirming their place every day, we’d like to introduce you to a few of your potential future classmates.

Zachary Benetatos

Nationality: American, Greek, and Japanese

Tell us a fun fact about yourself

I am Greek and Japanese, but rather than speaking those languages, I can speak Italian and Chinese instead!

What are you looking forward to most about arriving on campus?

I’m looking forward to seeing my classmates who come from every corner of the globe. I know that we will all learn and grow from each other during our Hult experience—we will become a family over the next three years!

Why do you want to study business?

I want to study business because I feel that the world is changing every day, and enterprises are at the forefront of the decisions that determine our future. I want to learn alongside individuals who are ambitious, and those who will continue striving forward, even when being challenged.

How did you know that Hult was the right school for you?

Being a Hultian, I know that I will gain the necessary skills for business, but I’ll also learn how to be successful in life outside of work. I have never seen a school that has the same approach as Hult, and this is how I knew that it was the right school for me.

Monica Culcasi

What will you be bringing to Hult with you to remind you of home?

I would like to bring my grandmother with me, so that she could cook amazing meals for me and my flatmates! But instead, I will bring my childhood teddy bear, some frozen food made by my grandmother, and a family picture.

Why do you want to study business?

I have chosen to study business for a number of reasons. In particular, this choice has been greatly influenced by participation in my family’s company.

How did you know that Hult was the right school for you?

Hult is giving me the opportunity to be the citizen of the world that I always wanted to be. I will be able to visit different countries during my degree and learn more about the business world by living in it.

What does it mean to you to be a part of the Global Generation?

The Global Generation is a generation of travelers that are ready to pack their stuff and start a new life, far away from their comfort zone. It is a generation of people who are able to feel at home everywhere, and who learn from new cultures and new experiences.

What will you be bringing to Hult with you to remind you of home?

Along with memories of my family and friends, I will be bringing a ring that mom gave to me when I won the 2017 World Championship in mixed martial arts.

What are you looking forward to most about arriving in San Francisco?

What I look forward to is doing my best to earn my business degree, while also making good friends throughout my studies.

Why do you want to study business?

I want to study business and entrepreneurship in particular because this is where I feel most comfortable and where I believe that I can be successful.

 How did you celebrate being accepted to Hult?

I celebrated being admitted to Hult by partying with my friends and traveling with my family.

Juliana de la Luz Robles Aldana

What will you be bringing to Hult with you to remind you of home?

I will be bringing my favorite accessory, which is a traditional Mayan hairpiece. All the colors and patterns describe the region where the hairpiece is from, and we use it with a braid in an up-do hairstyle.

What are you looking forward to most about arriving in London?

I’ve visited London many times, but every time I have the opportunity to go back it’s magical. I am looking forward to getting to know the Underground better and experiencing a different type of lifestyle.

Why do you want to study business?

I want to study business because I want to incorporate my tradition and my culture with a new twist. I would also like to become a recognized businesswoman around my country and be proud of Guatemala by showing the world how rich of a country we can be.

How did you celebrate being accepted to Hult?

When I received the news that I got into Hult it was the most impactful, exciting news I have ever gotten. I started jumping around and immediately called my parents to tell them. We celebrated with my family and grandmother with a dinner, and I felt so happy to know that I was part of the new Hult Global Generation.
