Hult International Business School Expands Scholarship Opportunities for Global Learners, Bolstered by Generous Gift to The President’s Fund
Hult International Business School will add a new four-year full-tuition scholarship to its Hult Scholar Grant portfolio, thanks in part to a generous donation to The President’s Fund. The Fund was launched in 2023 by Hult President Dr. Matt Lilley to expand educational opportunities for deserving talent around the world.
In December 2025, a family from the undergraduate parent community at Hult made a generous six-figure gift to The President’s Fund at Hult. In partnership with the school, the proceeds of this most recent gift will fund a full-tuition scholarship for an undergraduate student with academic merit and financial need, in accordance with the rigorous selection criteria of the Hult Scholar Grant.
“We have seen firsthand the impact of a Hult education, and we want to support the effort to expand learning opportunities to other high achievers around the world,” said the donor. “As parents, we’ve experienced how faculty and coaches really show up for students and accompany them each step of the way, setting learners up for success and growth. We hope this donation will enable another talented young person to fully unlock their potential and thrive at Hult.”
Since 2020, Hult has committed its own funding to provide full scholarships to 10% of its incoming undergraduate class across its Boston and London campuses. In aggregate, this investment has grown to $22 million USD since its inception and has transformed the lives of 193 scholars from 50 nationalities. Grant recipients have excelled both in and outside of the classroom—as students, classmates, and in extra-curricular leadership roles.
“The President’s Fund was born with a clear mission: to partner with alumni, friends, and family to increase the number of full scholarships awarded annually,” said Dr. Matt Lilley. “As such, this generous donation comes at a perfect time as we look to the new year ahead, filled with renewed hope and aspiration to continue to scale our scholarships and their impact.
“Hult continues to commit our own funds to the cause, and we welcome the support of additional generous donors as examples of solidarity and a shared commitment to investing in young talent and giving them the immense opportunity to develop, learn, and gain a global perspective,” added Dr. Lilley.
Hult is recognized for its challenge-based curriculum and innovative approach to business education. Learners across Hult’s global campus network study alongside peers from over 140 nationalities. The President’s Fund acts as a vital link between Hult and its non-profit mission to make a meaningful impact.
“This charitable gift plants the seed of generosity that we hope will be instrumental in peaking the curiosity of additional members of our community and beyond, who now have Hult top of mind when it comes philanthropic giving and making a difference in the accessibility of higher education,” says Julia Sanchez, SVP of External Affairs, who worked closely in shaping the gift agreement with the family.
