About the class

Numbers used to be the burger, playing the main role of persuading investors of a company's economic potential and promise. The narratives are the side order, to justify and explain the drivers behind. Yet, these days, storylines and quantifications have swapped roles.

From cryptocurrencies to IPOs, companies have become more and more daring in manipulating numbers to build great storylines while investors are increasingly falling for them. This session is to spark a discussion by looking at the developments of this phenomenon, the how and why as well as the potential consequences. The aim is to get a clearer view of today investors' sentiments and mindsets.
