How the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) is Done at Hult
Refreshed for 2026, the Hult BBA blends global perspective with hands-on learning and flexible pathways to prepare you to lead in a complex world. We spoke with Dean of International Affairs & Program Development Ronan Gruenbaum, to find out more.
Hult: What’s the key differentiating factor of a Hult BBA?
Ronan: Hult is all about learning by doing. That’s why we designed the program to ensure students are actively putting what they learn into practice in every course. A Hult BBA is not about sitting passively in lectures. Our students actively work on real challenges that businesses face every day.

H: What support and global opportunities are available to BBA students?
R: Support is personal at Hult. Every student is paired with a personal coach who helps them develop their core human skills and the mindsets needed for the world of work. Coaches aren’t just there for academic concerns—they’re there to help students navigate the challenges all young adults face as they build a future. Plus, they have access to a team of career guidance counsellors who align their learning with career goals.
On top of that, our home campus locations put students in key global business hubs like Boston, London, and Dubai. Students also benefit from a global community, ongoing learning opportunities, and many ways to connect with peers and businesses worldwide.

H: What practical skills and real-world experience will students gain during the program?
The Hult BBA is built around developing the skills employers value most—communication, collaboration, creativity, critical thinking, and curiosity—and doing it through hands-on experience. Students work in international teams to tackle live challenges and apply their classroom learning to real business situations. They might be asked: How can a brand like Ralph Lauren connect with Gen Z? or What’s your startup idea to disrupt the digital space? These are the kinds of questions that shape every course.
By practicing problem-solving, presenting to clients, and reflecting on feedback, students learn how to lead, adapt, and deliver in professional settings. They also gain self-awareness and a global mindset—qualities that set them apart wherever they go next.
H: What types of careers do Hult BBA graduates typically pursue?
R: Our graduates have gone on to diverse career paths that span almost every industry—marketing, sales, financial services, operations, logistics, consulting, and entrepreneurship. Many also pursue an advanced degree or become entrepreneurs, launching their own business, or returning to build their family business. You’ll also find Hult alums working at leading companies, SMEs, and startups. The majority of Hult students also tend to relocate to another country away from their home, launching successful international careers and truly embodying Hult’s global spirit.

H: What makes a Hult BBA stand out in today’s job market?
R: Hult BBA students are job-ready from the day they graduate. Each student’s experience and achievements are captured in an online portfolio—from client pitches and business reports to TEDx talks—ready to showcase real value to future employers. They learn to work effectively in diverse teams, lead and support others, influence and negotiate, and apply critical thinking to real-world challenges. Hult doesn’t just teach knowledge—it helps students demonstrate what they can do, not just what they’ve studied.
