All my life I grew up wanting to be a pediatrician, but as time passed by this desire slowly died out. Then I found myself in my senior year faced with the task of making what would be one of my biggest life decisions, “What college and major am I going to do?”

I walked into the room, sat down and instantaneously…fell in love.

Meeting Hult for the first time

I remember sitting with my peers at my high school Christmas party and everyone was talking about their favorite colleges and how exciting their college list was. This was a conversation I avoided having because I was not really excited and in love with any of my 13 colleges. One day while in a meeting, I got a call from my college counselor telling me to come meet a college representative. Mind you, at this point, I had met thousands of reps and just finished all my applications. In my head, I was like “Damn Gina”. I walked into the room, sat down and instantaneously…fell in love. After meeting Bill (the Hult rep), I was like a 5 year old with a sugar rush, literally telling everyone about this amazing school I had just discovered.

Falling in love with the global school

I was still pretty unsure if I really wanted to go to a solely business focused school and if it would fulfill all my other interests. I was accepted into 11 of my colleges (Hult being one of them), and I really wanted to stay in California so this canceled out 6 colleges, now down to 5, I eliminated 2 more because they were huge schools and on my visits, I felt like just a number. I was down to the last 3, I then visited all three of them in a matter of three days, but 1 stood out the most.

I am proud to be at Hult because of its diversity, it’s atmosphere of success and passion, and its platform to catalyze further growth and action.

From the moment I landed at the airport, Hult staff, Roxie, was hands-on with where I was and how I was doing, which made me feel really welcome. Then, the moment I stepped on campus I knew this was it, the futuristic, white, sophisticated feel of the school was everything. The diverse group of students I met were so friendly. The neuropsychology class I sat in was engaging and intriguing, not a single student was dozing off or looked bored, everyone was eager to ask questions and learn. It was all so overwhelmingly amazing.

Proud to be part of the #GlobalGeneration

Today, I am a part of the #GlobalGeneration and I can proudly say that Hult is a melting pot of cultures and people driven to make a difference, and feeds all my diverse interests and has taken me to new levels of inquisition. I am proud to be at Hult because of its diversity, it’s atmosphere of success and passion, and its platform to catalyze further growth and action. My past experiences taught me that diversity of passion and expertise can lead to collaborations impossible to predict, but which can be the most creative and effective endeavors. My desire to continue my journey has lead me to where I am today.
