Propelled by its global expansion, Hult International Business School has added 18 new faculty members to its international ranks. Eleven of these instructors will be based in Boston, and the remaining seven will be based in Dubai. These professionals bring to Hult’s dynamic learning environment a wealth of teaching experience and business expertise.

Below are the brief biographies of these professionals:

Boston Campus

Leslie Ball has served on the faculties of the University of Massachusetts, Tufts School of Medicine, Northeastern, Babson, and Arizona State University. He has also served as Associate Dean and Professor of the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts. Before embarking on his academic career, Les was a Partner and National Practice Director of Computer Sciences Corporation. He was also Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Kendall Group, an international consulting firm. Les earned his PhD from the University of Massachusetts, his MBA from Boston College, and his BS from Northeastern. At Hult Boston, he will parallel teach IT for Business Managers with James Slusser.

Bill Costello has served on the faculties of Babson, Northeastern, and Boston University. He is Founder and President of Technology Management, a consultancy firm that specializes in operations strategy and operational diagnostics. Among his clients are Proctor & Gamble, Gillette, MasterCard, General Motors, and General Electric. Other positions he has held include Principal and Practice Director at Anderson Consulting, Vice President of Operations at ITP Boston, and Corporate Director at United Brands. Bill earned his MBA from Babson and his BS from Bryant College. At Hult Boston, he will parallel teach Operations Management with Nick Amdur.

Viktoria Dalko has served on the faculties of Harvard and CUNY Baruch College. She was a visiting scholar at the University of Munich and a visiting professor at Thunderbird, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Corvinus University Budapest, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and the University of Illinois. Before embarking on her academic career, Viktoria served as Advisor to the President of the National Bank of Hungary and Chief of Staff of the Budget, Tax and Finance Committee of the Hungarian Parliament. She earned her PhD and MA from the University of Pennsylvania and her BA from Corvinus University. At Hult Boston, Viktoria will teach a Mergers & Acquisitions elective in Module C or D.

William F. Hancock. A Certified Public Accountant, Bill earned his MBA from the Wharton School. He recently served as Associate Dean and Professor of Management at Cambridge College. Bill was an adjunct professor at Northeastern University, leader of the Masters of Management Program at Jinan University, and a lecturer at Babson College. At Northeastern, he served as Finance Faculty Coordinator and was elected “Outstanding Professor of the Year.” Before embarking on his academic career, Bill was a principal at IBM Global Services, a principal leader at Ernst & Young, and group manager at Digital Equipment Corporation. At Hult Boston, he will serve as Acting Academic Dean and will parallel teach International Accounting with Lynn Marples.

Allen Hollander is an organizational consultant, executive coach, facilitator and trainer to Fortune 50 companies. His clients include senior executives at Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, Citibank, Pfizer, and Siemans. At General Electric’s Leadership Development Institute, Allen served as coach, consultant, course designer, instructor and trainer. He developed his ‘action-learning’ expertise at Boston University’s Executive Challenge Program, which he co-founded. Allen earned his BS from Clark University, MST from Antioch College, and professional certification from Columbia University’s Advanced Program in Organizational Development. At Hult Boston, Allen will parallel teach Business Execution with John Kerrick.

Steve Hurley is the Vice President of ITSMA, a corporate member-based association that provides advice on technology-based marketing services and solutions. He began his career in consulting, marketing, strategic planning, and management at Arthur D. Little, Inc. (‘ADL’). From 1996 to 1999, Steve served as Director of Global Learning and Development at ADL. From 1989 to 1996, he served as Director of Executive Education at the ADL School of Management. From 1981 to 1989, he served as ADL Director of Development Economics and Finance. Steve earned his Master of Science in Management degree from the ADL School of Management. At Hult Boston, he will parallel teach International Marketing with John Teopaco.

David Leggett has served on the faculties of Bentley, Northeastern, Arizona, and Western Oregon. A Certified Public Accountant and Registered Investment Advisor, he is President of the Sierra Group, a real estate services company, and a partner in Leggett & Leggett, a financial advisory firm. David’s expertise lies in taxation, accounting, financial analysis, business valuations, and fiduciary management. A former U.S. Olympic runner, David obtained his PhD, MA, and BS from the University of Arizona, where he also pursued a law degree. At Hult Boston, he will parallel teach Quantitative Methods with John Edmunds.

James Slusser has taught Information Technology at Northeastern University. He has served as a project management consultant for growth companies such as Genzyme and Monster Worldwide. Earlier in his career, Jim was Vice President of Infrastructure Support Services at Houghton Mifflin. He was also IT Director at Encon, Serono Laboratories, and the Shipley Company. A former manager at Ernst & Young, Digital Equipment Corporation, and the Ford Motor Company, Jim earned his MBA from the New York Institute of Technology and his BS from Wayne State University. He will parallel teach IT for Business Managers with Les Ball.

Gladys Souda is a professional consultant at Wordpower Communications, Boston. She provides group communications training at major banks, investment companies, and other corporate enterprises. Before joining Wordpower, Gladys spent ten years in the financial services industry. At Kidder Peabody, Los Angeles, she traded municipal bonds for retail and institutional clients. At JJ Kenney/Drake, New York, she worked as an institutional broker. Gladys is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Madison. At Hult, she will parallel teach Management Communications with Michele Souda.

Michele Souda has served on the faculty of the John F. Kennedy Institute of Government at Harvard University. Founder and President of Wordpower Communications, she has taught business communications and writing for over 25 years. Before joining Harvard, Michele co-founded the business and technical communications programs at Northeastern University. She has published numerous articles in notable periodicals such as the Washington Post, Chicago Tribune, Miami Herald, The Nation, and The Christian Science Monitor. Michele earned her PhD from the University of Wisconsin. At Hult Boston, she will parallel teach Management Communications with Gladys Souda.

Ronald Thomas has served on the faculties of Northeastern University and the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University. He has also served as a senior consultant for Global Resources, a Boston consulting firm. Ron has held clinical and research appointments in psychology at the Harvard Medical School. He has designed and taught executive courses in global management, organizational change, and information technologies for Fortune 500 companies. Ron obtained his PhD and MA from Harvard and his BS from Swarthmore. At Hult Boston, He will parallel teach Global Management with Rob Anthony.

Dubai Campus

 

Agnieszka Kuzniarski is the Associate Dean for Student Affairs at Hult Dubai. She earned her MA from Warsaw University and her MPhil and PhD from Cambridge University. Before joining Hult, Agnieszka was Lecturer of Business Communication at the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan. There, she served as a professional communications consultant and a member of the university’s Writing Development Team. Before coming to the United States, Agnieszka prepared Polish nationals for the Cambridge University Certificate in English. She also served as an English, Russian, and Polish language interpreter. At Hult Dubai, Agnieszka will teach Management Communications.

Fawzi Omran has been an Associate Professor at Sharjah University. There, he has taught Finance and Investments and has chaired the Executive MBA Curriculum Committee. Before his appointment at Sharjah, Fawzi headed the Banking and Finance Group at the College of Business and Economics at the UAE University. He has published in top journals such as Quarterly Review of Economics and Finance, Advances in Econometric Statistician, and Applied Mathematical Finance. A Chartered Financial Analyst, Fawzi earned his PhD from the University of Strathclyde. At Hult Dubai, he will teach Finance I.

Mufeed M. Rawashdeh has served as Chair of the Department of Accounting and Finance at the American University of Dubai. He has also served on the faculties of the United Arab Emirates University, Central Washington University, Alakhawayn University (Morocco), and Yarmouk University (Jordan). A Certified Management Accountant and Certified Financial Manager, Mufeed has served as a consultant for the Central Bank of Jordan and Institute of Public Administration, Jordan. Before embarking on his academic career, he was General Manager and Finance Director of Al-Manhal International Group. Mufeed earned both his PhD and MBA from St. Louis University. At Hult Dubai, he will teach International Accounting.

Mark Sato is a partner in RVB Associates. He provides strategic leadership, coaching, communications, business solutions, and facilitation services to senior managers worldwide. Among his clients are Oracle, Microsoft, Charles Schwab & Associates, and Sun Microsystems. With 18 years of experience, Mark has held management and training positions at Franklin Templeton, Kaiser Permanente, and Oracle. He earned his MBA from California State University. In the Hult Dubai Toolbox, Mark will parallel teach Leadership, Teambuilding, and Presentation Skills with Rob Bogosian.

Michael Wagemans is a consultant at Arthur D. Little, Benelux. Among his principal clients are the Flemish Government, the Federation of Belgian Enterprises, and European railway and pharmaceutical companies. Michael has taught courses at the London School of Economics, where he earned his PhD, MPhil, and MS degrees. At Hult Dubai, he will teach Global Management in Module A and National Strategies in the Global Economy in Module B.

Mario Yanez, Jr. has served on the faculty of the University of Miami since 1993. He also served as Director of Professional Education at NGJ Information Systems Institute. Before embarking on his academic career, Mario served as senior manager of technology planning, telecommunications systems, and information networks at various corporate enterprises. He began his career as an engineer at General Electric, and then worked as a consultant at KPMG Peat Marwick. Mario obtained his PhD and BS from the University of Miami and his MBA from Florida State University. At Hult Dubai, he will teach IT for Business Managers.
