LIDE Networking Dinner by Hult

The Business Leaders Group of Pernambuco was founded on December 5, 2011, in Recife, by business administrator and journalist Drayton Nejaim, who currently serves as the president of the system in the state. LIDE Pernambuco has the entrepreneur Daniel Asfora as its vice president and co-founder. It is an affiliate unit of LIDE Global, which began its journey in São Paulo in 2003, initiated by of the former São Paulo governor, João Doria. Since 2015, LIDE Global has had Luiz Fernando Furlan, former Minister of Economic Development of Brazil, as its Chairman.

Our activities are multi-sectoral. We operate as an ecosystem and also serve as a business representation. Among our members, we bring together companies with regional, national, and international operations, from private, public, and mixed origins, in the Metropolitan Region of Recife and the interior of the state. We also affiliate business entities, as well as relevant organizations from neighboring states where the Group is not yet represented.

LIDE Pernambuco brings together leaders with a direct impact on the GDP. They are shareholders of large companies, regional presidents and directors, prominent entrepreneurs in the community, top-level public officials, and associative leaders with significant relevance. In 2024, we celebrate 13 years of operation, uniting 450 CNPJs representing 600 leaders connected to our work.

We are the second-largest unit of the LIDE System in the world for the past 9 years. To achieve this performance, we were pioneers in structuring LIDEs Futuro (Future) and Mulher (Women) in Brazil (replicating São Paulo - Capital) 9 years ago. LIDE Pernambuco has also innovated within the LIDE system by creating LIDEs Empreendedor (Entrepreneur) and Jovem Empreendedor (Young Entrepreneur).
