Innovation and entrepreneurial skills are a must-have for a successful new venture. They're also highly sought-after in existing organizations. Learn how to gain foresight into the future, apply design thinking techniques to explore unmet market needs, and devise business model canvas processes to quickly create viable businesses—or pivot. This is a hands-on program that focuses on launching high-growth ventures by taking on real-world business challenges that are integrated into your entire program.
For the approaching 2025 academic year, our one-year Master’s in Entrepreneurship & Innovation will be run as part of Hult’s Master’s in Management. While the program’s curriculum will remain as rigorous and practical as ever, this change not only serves to raise the visibility of the program globally, it also better reflects the focus of the degree, which is building the skills that are most in demand for tomorrow’s business leaders—at management level and beyond.
Curriculum
This specialization track covers the conception, design, organization, and management of new enterprises. Go from opportunity identification through to launch, growth, financing, and profitability. With guidance from Hult's professors, along with insights from current startups and investors, you’ll develop an entrepreneurial mindset and hone the skills needed to develop a new business or idea with potential for growth and funding. This course explores the role of businesses and managers in contributing to the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). You'll learn how to integrate sustainability principles into various business functions and develop strategies for creating positive social, environmental, and economic impact.
Social Enterprises
Social enterprises are a fascinating approach combining market mechanisms of traditional profit-oriented firms with the social impact objectives of non-profit organizations and charities. In this course, you will learn about social enterprises and challenges in social entrepreneurship such as mission statements, social impact metrics, leadership, business models, growth, competition, and financing. You will apply skills and knowledge gained on social enterprises towards participation in the Hult Prize Challenge and designing a social business venture.
Business Model Strategy
This course focuses on various dimensions of innovative business model design and related business process design. It prepares you to manage creativity effectively when generating high potential ideas and converting them into disruptive new business models. The emphasis is on using concepts, practices, and techniques from across functions and implementing them in teams.
Entrepreneurial Sales & Marketing
All businesses need sales and marketing, and for new ventures, it's the difference between flourishing and failing completely. This course covers marketing topics such as identifying target customer segments, gaining initial trial, and building brand and customer loyalty as well as sales topics such as a go-to-market plan and managing a sales pipeline.
Perfecting Your Pitch
This course focuses on developing the essential skill of effective pitching for entrepreneurs and innovators. Through a combination of practical exercises and real-world examples, students will learn how to craft and deliver persuasive pitches to investors, stakeholders, and customers. Topics covered include understanding your audience, structuring your pitch, storytelling techniques, handling Q&A sessions, and leveraging presentation tools.
