Course Structure

The course is divided into 4 modules. Each module focuses on a different aspect of mindfulness in the context of modern leadership.

01 What is Mindfulness?

The first module introduces some of the key theories around mindfulness and what impact the practice can have. You will also learn some short and simple techniques that will help you develop your own mindfulness exercises and 'experiencing the moment'.

02 Introducing Mind Time Practices

The second module develops some simple ten-minute practices that our research tells us can enhance three key leadership capacities: personal resilience, effective collaboration with others, agility in complex and uncertain environments.

03 The Application to Leadership

The third module explores the specifics of the 'Mindful Leadership' and highlights key findings from the Mindful Leader research conducted by Hult Ashridge.

04 Learning to AIM

In this final module you will learn about three concepts known as meta-capacities - Allowing, Inquiry and Meta-Awareness - that underpin Mindful Leadership. You will learn how you can develop and enhance these in your life as a leader, both in the workplace and away from it.

Michael Chaskalson - Professor of Practice BA Hons (MA)

Based on his 40 years of personal practice of mindfulness and related disciplines, Michael now shares his insights and research with audiences worldwide as a keynote speaker, coach, consultant, and teacher. He works with global corporations and public sector organisations, as well as individuals, so that they better understand mindful leadership practices.
