Our BA in Business and Management provides a solid grounding across all critical elements of modern day business and management, arming entry-level and new managers with a global mindset and the tools and knowledge to drive immediate impact into their organization.

Covering core topics such as strategy, finance, sales/marketing, people management, leadership, culture, negotiation, and project management, it also explores 21st-century business drivers, technologies, digital transformation, innovation, ethics and social awareness. Each participant will discover their own leadership styles and gain a holistic understanding of business.

Who is this for?

Designed and available under the Level 6 UK Degree Apprenticeship levy, this program is most suitable for entry or mid-level managers looking to develop their broad business skills, learn how to apply that knowledge in their workplace, and to do so with the goal of achieving a bachelor’s degree at the end.


The program is delivered through a flexible blend of virtual classes and face-to-face workshops at our historic Ashridge Estate campus, over a period of 3.5 years. Assessments are relevant to the employing organization and are designed to challenge established thinking and drive innovation. Working with peers and Ashridge faculty, participants get to explore, imagine and engage in a safe and supportive environment, with the goal of applying their learning in the context of their organization.

The program starts with a half-day introduction at the beginning of the first module. After that, each module consists of 1.5 days face-to-face learning (residentials) and six weeks of virtual study, as well as continuous on the job learning and application of knowledge.

This program is designed with three key themes in mind: Managing Self and Others, New Age Business and Ecosystems, and Business in Action. The program structure allows participants to progress through these themes, exploring themselves as leaders while understanding the challenges of a constantly evolving business environment.

In Year 3, participants undertake a 24-week long Strategic Work-based Project (SWBP):

Stage 1 & 2: Research Methods (30 credits, 4,000 words)

Stage 3, 4 & 5: Strategic work-based management report and presentation (60 credits, 10,000 words)

Ashridge will also provide the option of customized modules for those clients, who wish to develop the management and leadership skills of entire cohorts of employees. This ensures that program content is relevant to the context of your industry and the culture of your organization, with the possibility of in-house teaching at your organization.

The Ashridge Level 6 Bachelors in Business & Management is developed, delivered, and assessed by Ashridge. The degree accreditation will be validated and awarded by Coventry University.

£22,000 per participant, including the End-Point-Assessment.

  • Levy Funding: The program fee of £22,000 matches the government funding band for the Chartered Manager Standard and therefore can be fully funded through the apprenticeship levy.

  • As per government requirements, the program fee does not include additional costs for travel or accommodation which will apply for the residential elements of the program and must be covered by the employer. Entry Requirements

  • Individual employers will set the selection criteria for their Apprenticeships.
  • Most candidates will have A levels (or equivalent) or existing relevant Level 3 qualifications, and English, Maths, and ICT at Level 2.
  • Other relevant or prior experience may also be considered as an alternative.
  • Funding rules require an individual to be employed and working at least 50% in England.
  • Strong personal motivation and capability to benefit from and contribute to the program.
  • Line Manager support and access to the employing organization to undertake work-based assignments, to build the portfolio of evidence and carry out the work-based action project.
