Ashridge Strategic Management Center

The ASMC is a widely recognized authority on strategic management issues within large organizations led by a team of Directors, all of whom have held positions as senior consultants with top strategy consultancies, such as McKinsey and The Boston Consulting Group. The Centre has an extensive track record of publications covering a wide range of topics such as corporate level strategy, organization design, growth and new business, investor relations strategy, collaboration strategy, and mission leadership.

Open Programs

In addition to its strategy research, the centre delivers open enrolment programs on strategy at Ashridge and in London.

Membership program

The Centre has an active corporate membership program for heads of strategy in large, multi-business companies. The program is designed to help its members build their company's strategic capability through access to ground-breaking new strategy tools and techniques. It also includes a program of twelve strategy seminars for their teams. Corporate members can also join the ASMC Research Projects Committee and get involved in some of ASMC's collaborative research projects.

Projects and publications

ASMC has published widely on a range of strategic topics, including acquisitions and alliances, corporate strategy and parenting, and strategic planning processes.

The centre's major research initiatives are currently focusing on issues relating to: Strategy and Uncertainty, Value Management, Why Giant Companies Stumble, the Role of the Corporate Strategy Function, and Artificial Intelligence.
