We are running a series of virtual workshops for executive coaches and supervisors to develop their skills and keep up-to-date with professional practice.

A Fleeting Moment of Noticing

Talking about Race in Coaching

Ramaa and Charlotte met six years ago when Ramaa was attending the coaching programme at Hult Ashridge.

They met up again recently because Charlotte is involved with Jan Baptiste Grant and Judith Bell in researching the experiences of coaches and coaching clients in cross-racial coaching dyads. Ramaa agreed to take part in the research and gave an interview, in which she shared some of her experiences both as a coach and a supervisor and also as a client and supervisee in a variety of racial dyads.

As they talked, some powerful themes emerged including from Ramaa’s extensive DI experience facilitating workshops and leadership development at the BBC and more recently at Reuters Institute in Oxford. This led them to developing this workshop

In the webinar we will introduce some of the ideas that emerged from our conversations. We will identify some key race-based themes and invite participants to explore them and discuss their significance for coaches, supervisors and leaders.
