\n<\/em> <\/strong>Spend your evening in the Mission\u00a0snacking, sipping and late-night shopping<\/strong>\u00a0at \u00a0independent local stores as the Mission District hosts its 4th annual Mission Holiday Block Party<\/span> <\/a> from 5-10pm on Friday, December 9, 2011.<\/span>
\n Lots of the businesses along 16th Street and down Valencia will be offering\u00a0live music, free drinks, live art and sale prices<\/strong>\u00a0throughout the evening.<\/span><\/p>\n

SantaCon 2011: City-Wide Santa Pub Crawl
\nSaturday, December 10 | 12 p.m. – 8 p.m. | Admission: Free
\n<\/em> <\/strong>\u201cSantarchy\u201d is an annual\u00a0 city-wide Santas-only pub crawl<\/span> <\/a> <\/strong>. This flash mob type event brings together hundreds of slightly sober people dressed in Santa costumes parading around the city, visiting landmarks (like walking down Lombard Street) drinking at bars and causing general mayhem.<\/span>
\n And just so you know, wearing a Santa hat isn\u2019t enough\u2026 get yourself a full-on Santa suit.
\n<\/em> <\/span><\/p>\n

82nd Annual Holiday Tree Lighting<\/strong>
\n<\/strong> McLaren Lodge in Golden Gate Park
\n<\/strong> Thursday, December 8 | 5 p.m. | Admission: Free
\n<\/strong> <\/em> <\/em>An evening of holiday cheer in Golden Gate Park, the 82nd annual Holiday Tree Lighting,\u00a0featuring live entertainment, activities for kids, refreshments, a cookie factory, train rides and a visit from Santa. Festivities on December 8 will begin at 5 p.m., with the tree lighting ceremony to begin shortly after dusk.<\/span>
\n The event is free<\/strong>\u00a0–\u00a0 including the train rides, photo with Santa, refreshments and activities.<\/span><\/p>\n
