That\u2019s\u00a0exactly the gap the\u00a0<\/span>Hult AI Lab<\/span><\/b><\/a>\u00a0is designed to close\u2014led by Hult\u2019s practitioner faculty<\/a> who have direct experience of how AI is being applied today.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Each\u00a0AI\u00a0Lab\u00a0is delivered by a\u00a0multidisciplinary team of Hult faculty from across business functions and areas of expertise, bringing decades of collective insight and on-the-ground experience into the classroom. \u201cFor anybody who is willing to take their career to the next level, they need to choose a school\u00a0that\u2019s doing something like what Hult is doing in the AI Lab.\u201d<\/span><\/i>\u00a0<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

I\u2019ve spent the past 16 years teaching and leading campuses at Hult, while consulting with organizations including Honeywell, Google, and Williams-Sonoma\u2014so I\u2019ve seen what it takes to make AI work inside and outside the classroom.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

One thing\u00a0I\u2019ve\u00a0seen is,\u00a0for\u00a0their\u00a0first\u00a0assignment,\u00a0all the new MBA students using an LLM submit\u00a0essentially the\u00a0same answer. When we open the submissions in class, nobody can tell which one is theirs.\u00a0That\u2019s\u00a0the moment people\u00a0realize\u00a0that\u00a0LLMs are generic.\u00a0They\u2019re\u00a0a tool to enhance your thinking, but the final output needs to be yours.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

For the Hult AI Lab,\u00a0a\u00a0group of faculty members will design it together and lead different sessions, so you learn from multiple perspectives.\u00a0That group includes a\u00a0human\u00a0skills coach\u00a0focused\u00a0on communication and leadership, a practitioner who\u2019s implemented AI in a real working environment, a strategy-focused faculty member who can connect the work to finance,\u00a0marketing, and growth, and a technology specialist grounded in coding and how systems actually work.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

You’ll leave with something you can tell an employer: I\u2019ve used AI tools to launch work in the real world, dealt with real-life consequences, and learned why a human in the loop matters.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As a data scientist who has worked across aviation, banking, and mobility\u2014with companies including Iberia, Uber, and\u00a0DiDi\u2014I’ve\u00a0spent my career at the point where a model meets\u00a0a real business\u00a0decision. That gap is where things go wrong. And\u00a0it’s\u00a0what I focus on in the\u00a0AI\u00a0Lab.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

A technically correct AI output\u00a0isn’t\u00a0always the right business answer.\u00a0In the\u00a0AI\u00a0Lab,\u00a0you’ll\u00a0learn to use your own thinking first: define the problem, structure your reasoning,\u00a0and\u00a0form a hypothesis. Then\u00a0you\u2019ll\u00a0use\u00a0AI\u00a0to challenge, expand, or\u00a0validate\u00a0it\u2014not the other way around. That discipline is what stops\u00a0you\u00a0becoming dependent on a tool that can be\u00a0confidently,\u00a0plausibly wrong.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Some of my own data work has been recognized by the United Nations for its impact on the environment, gender pay equality, and road safety. That experience shaped how I think about AI: not just as a tool for efficiency, but as something that can be designed to create better, fairer outcomes\u2014if the human behind it is asking the right questions.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

What made you say “wow” last month gets an eye roll today. What sticks are durable skills and genuine\u00a0expertise.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The difference between a win and a loss\u00a0isn’t\u00a0AI skills.\u00a0It’s\u00a0human ones. Running a company means knowing exactly what employers need from people who work with AI. And there’s a blunt phrase doing the rounds in the industry right now that captures it: “AI or die.” Employers increasingly see AI capability as a basic expectation, not a bonus.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
