Huge congratulations to Sofia Iguaran, a Business Analytics and Finance major at Hult’s Boston campus, who has been named to the Poets & Quants 100 Best & Brightest Class of 2026, one of the most competitive undergraduate honors in business education. Growing up in Santa Marta, Colombia, Sofia arrived at Hult with energy to burn and serious ambition.<\/p>\n
Outside the classroom, her record speaks for itself. Sofia serves as vice president of the Hult Undergraduate Investment Club, where she led the annual stock portfolio competition. She has also served as president of the Hult Student Association, treasurer of the Hispanic Association, and Personal Development co-chair of the Hult Scholars Program. For the past three years, she has volunteered at the Venture Capital & Private Equity (VCPE) Conference at Harvard Business School.<\/p>\n
Hult Scholar Grant<\/strong><\/p>\n The personal achievement that Sofia says she\u2019s most proud of is being a recipient of the Hult Scholar Grant. “More than a recognition of academic performance, the Hult Scholar Grant represents my dedication to making a meaningful impact within every community I am a part,\u201d Sofia told Poets & Quants.<\/p>\n Internships and hands-on work is also a focus for Sofia. She has interned at\u00a0J.P. Morgan Private Banking in Miami, Florida; at DAABON<\/span> in Santa Marta, Colombia; and at Timbuktu Capital Management, which is based in Boston.<\/p>\n Favorite Hult professor<\/strong><\/p>\n When asked about her favorite professor, Sofia names Anusha Vissapragada, who was named a 2025 Best Undergraduate Business Professor by Poets & Quants. “Professor Anusha Vissapragada is my favorite business professor because she consistently challenges students to reach their full potential while fostering an engaging, supportive classroom environment. She connects deeply with her students and encourages us to push beyond the bare minimum, setting high expectations while genuinely believing in our ability to meet them,\u201d she says.<\/p>\n The feeling is mutual. Professor Vissapragada said of Sofia, “I have taught over 300 undergraduate students in my teaching career, and Sofia is one of the rare students whose thoughtfulness, humility, and sincerity will genuinely stay with me.
