\u201cDare mighty things.\u201d<\/span><\/i>\u00a0This three-word call to action was first spoken by Theodore Roosevelt\u00a0two\u00a0years before stepping into the job as the\u00a026<\/span>th<\/span>\u00a0President\u00a0of the United States. The\u00a0visionary\u00a0politician was urging citizens to live a life with purpose<\/span>\u2014<\/span>to set bold, ambitious goals. To choose to move forward and upwards.\u00a0And to risk failure\u00a0in order\u00a0to\u00a0find\u00a0success.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Since then, the phrase has been borrowed by individuals and organizations to convey\u00a0their\u00a0groundbreaking ambition. In 2021, NASA had the phrase encoded in binary on the parachute of the\u00a0<\/span>Perseverance<\/span><\/i>\u00a0rover as it floated down to the surface of Mars.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As we step into a future of the unknown, driven by rapid global changes, we think to\u00a0<\/span>dare mighty things<\/span><\/b> is exactly what Hult students are called to do, too.\u00a0\u00a0Every day, our students work together, pushing themselves to solve important, real-world problems with no clear-cut answers. They practice taking risks, leading across cultures, and finding their purpose through challenge and collaboration.<\/span><\/p>\n

Setting the stage<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n

In\u00a0support\u00a0of the launch of our newest portfolio of\u00a0<\/span>future-focused undergraduate<\/a>, <\/span><\/b>master\u2019s<\/span><\/b><\/a>,\u00a0and\u00a0<\/span><\/b>MBA\u00a0programs<\/span><\/b><\/a>,<\/span><\/b>\u00a0we decided to put dare mighty things at the heart of our message to prospective students.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

To capture the sentiment of daring mightily, we needed visuals that would inspire future Hultians to do exactly that. Fortunately, 11 current students were up for the challenge, meeting in the summer heat for a full day of filming at Holborn Studios in buzzing North London.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Undergrads Gael Cervantes, Gabriella Yammine, Shirin Kvalheim-Bouali, Nelli Alaverdyan, Andre De Luna, Cherise Kiruki, Mariyam Hiba Mohamed, and Nathan Wehrmann, alongside postgraduate students Negin Amani Babadi, Aida Ben Hamouda, and John Prempeh arrived not quite sure what was in store for them.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

But they knew it would involve a trampoline.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

On set:\u00a0The only way is up<\/span><\/b><\/h2>\n

From the moment the team started setting up, you could feel the energy in the room. For many Hult students, this was their first experience on a real production set, complete with lights, cameras, and a busy crew working alongside hair and makeup artists to get everyone camera-ready.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The vision was directed by\u00a0brothers\u00a0<\/span>Will and Ed Reid<\/span><\/a>, who knew exactly how to bring the concept to life. It needed the right staging. The right atmosphere. And a lot, a lot<\/em> of bouncing.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The students were briefed on their task and were ready to jump in with enthusiasm. When the cameras started rolling, the trampoline became the stage\u2014turning the day into something between an aerobics session and a photoshoot. The students and crew really clicked, cheering each other on and celebrating each triumphant shot. Whenever the director captured the perfect moment, you\u2019d hear cheers and an excited, \u201cPerfect!\u201d or \u201cThat\u2019s the one!\u201d from behind the lens.<\/span><\/p>\n
