What makes a true visionary? These Hult students know. All of them scholars and superstars in the their own right, we have decided to shine a spotlight on these extraordinary women. With fewer than 10% of <\/span>Fortune 500<\/span><\/i> CEOs being women, we must keep working to reshape the business landscape in their favor. So, who best to tell us how a true visionary is made than the women themselves? <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Amina, Kazakhstan, Current Student<\/span><\/b><\/h2>\n

In my first ever module with Hult, I was thrown in at the deep end\u2014which I loved! I was required to develop a startup idea alongside a pretty diverse team. I was pushed out of my comfort zone, enhancing my creativity and making me think quickly under pressure. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Knowing how meaningful your first experiences are, I decided to sign up as an Orientation Leader, welcoming new students and helping them adjust to life at Hult. I really thrive in roles of leadership and mentorship, and the times where I have taken responsibility have helped me gain further confidence and give confidence to others. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As I look to the future, I envision myself heading to Qatar to put my Hult-developed skills in business analytics to good use. I can lead, and I know I have the talent to make an impactful change within my industry. So that\u2019s exactly what I\u2019ll do. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I identify as Ghanaian-American. I do this because even though I have strong cultural roots in Ghana, I honed my business skills and developed as a person in the US. My family has a business back in Ghana, and I have always actively contributed to that. Hult gave me a springboard to take these efforts to the next level.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I\u2019m in my third year at Hult, so I’ve got one eye on the future. Right now, I’m still networking and refining my goals as I prepare to graduate. My family works in the beauty industry, and while I help out when I can, my real dream is to create and run my own business. I look back now, and it\u2019s crazy how far I’ve come. My imposter syndrome used to be off the charts, but now I can walk into any room and feel I belong there. I couldn\u2019t have done it without the support of so many strong women in my life. I\u2019m definitely ready for the next challenge. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"It all started with a simple scroll through UCAS, where Hult International Business School caught my eye and ignited a journey far beyond a degree. My extracurriculars quickly became as vital as my studies, shaping me into the leader I am today. Recently, I was appointed Vice President of Hult Founders Lab, a platform for student entrepreneurs. In this role, I\u2019m focused on driving impact\u2014shifting from passive guest speakers to hands-on workshops that spark creativity and add value. I\u2019m excited to take the lead next year and push the organization even further.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Balancing these responsibilities with a 4.0 GPA hasn\u2019t been easy, especially while leading business development for TEDx, where I connect with partners to amplify bold ideas. Design and marketing are what I have chosen to pursue, and I think the events that shape my success speak to those twin\u00a0<\/span>passions. A personal highlight is leading an all-female team to a win in a Hult Business Challenge with SAP. Skills I improved during the challenge were communication and efficient collaboration.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Hult\u2019s great for many reasons, but one I don’t think is spoken about enough is the amazing coaching we get. It played such a role in my personal development, helping me to see what could be possible in my future career. I want to design and create, and hopefully, I can combine that with my business acumen and design for brands with real purpose.I now feel more confident than ever that I am in the driver’s seat of my own career. <\/span><\/p>\n

This quote resonates with me daily as I navigate a male-dominated industry. I\u2019m currently a manager in engineering recruitment, a field where representation still has a long way to go.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

One thing my time at Hult and my career since leaving have taught me is that opportunities aren\u2019t handed to you\u2014you have to seek them out. Hult set me apart by pushing me beyond traditional academics. I\u2019ve pitched to real companies, faced high-pressure scenarios, and strengthened my soft skills. You leave with a growth mindset, and that stays with you.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Since graduating in 2023, I’ve worked myself up to become the most senior woman at my company. I lead a team of consultants, place top talent, and advocate for better representation in the industry by leading Aylin White’s Women in Engineering Campaign.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

True change isn\u2019t just about supporting female candidates\u2014it\u2019s about challenging companies to create environments where women can thrive. The responsibility doesn\u2019t lie with the candidates when companies fail to embrace inclusive practices.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I\u2019ve always been drawn to sustainability, but my journey into the field wasn\u2019t a straight path\u2014it was shaped by curiosity, hands-on projects, and the realization that business has a crucial role in driving systemic change. Hult empowered me to take on business challenges and projects that deepened my understanding of impact-driven strategy and gave me the confidence to turn ambition into action.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Now, as Sustainability Lead at a global office product design and manufacturing firm, I\u2019m leading the development of our sustainability strategy\u2014driving decarbonization, circularity, and supply chain responsibility. But sustainability isn\u2019t just about the environment\u2014it\u2019s about transforming systems, shifting mindsets, and leading change. Few people realize the disproportionate impact of climate change on women,\u00a0yet female leadership in shaping climate solutions remains underrepresented. This isn\u2019t just a gap\u2014it\u2019s a missed opportunity. I\u2019m passionate about driving more inclusive climate action and elevating women\u2019s voices in sustainability decision-making.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

For new students and women starting their careers, my advice is: take risks, build networks, and seek opportunities that align with your purpose.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
