Time flies! Can\u2019t believe it\u2019s been 10 years since I started my MBA at Hult San Francisco\u2014our class reunion is coming up very soon! <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\"KristinWhen I saw that Hult had launched the President\u2019s Fund, I knew I had to pay it forward to future generations of students. At the end of the day, it\u2019s every alum\u2019s individual decision when it comes to giving back and very much depends on where you are in your life and career now. But if you enjoyed your Hult experience, donating to the President\u2019s Fund<\/a> is your way of helping build a better future for talented students, who may not be able to make it on their own.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Here, I share my reasons for donating to my alma mater.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Reason 1: Finding my purpose\u00a0<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n

Before Hult, I worked in banking. At the time, looking at the numbers on the screen didn\u2019t seem like a fulfilling career to me. I was always looking for ways to do things that had real purpose and took part in lots of different volunteering activities.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

While I was taking the social entrepreneurship track as part of my MBA program at Hult, my talent for finance and my passion for doing good merged into one and I learned about impact investing. A Hult alum then introduced me to the company that I work for today, Toniic, a community that brings together impact investing professionals from all over the world.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This career shift wouldn\u2019t have been possible without Hult. Not only because of the networking opportunities that gave me an introduction to my next career move, but more because of the opening up of my mind, as well as gaining invaluable skills through the course, and learning from the incredible international student body.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0Donating to the President\u2019s Fund is your way of helping build a better future for talented students, who may not be able to make it on their own.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Reason 2: Making my experience available to others<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n

There are some important things that I gained from my Hult experience, and I want to help others to take advantage of the opportunities the school has to offer.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Quite early in my personal journey, when I went to South Africa to do a language course after finishing high school, it became very clear to me that material things come and go but investment in yourself and education is priceless.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The international experience that Hult provides is invaluable. I remember being in teams where I was the only European and you can learn so much about the cultural differences when you need to get work done together.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Campus rotation takes international exposure to a whole new level. During my time at Hult, I went to Shanghai and Dubai, two very different places with distinct work cultures, and that\u2019s the experience that accelerated my learning on another level.\u00a0 <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Investment in yourself and education is priceless. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Reason 3: Being part of a bigger future\u00a0<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n

I learned so much at Hult and had so many great experiences with students and the faculty, so I wanted to pay forward to the students\u2019 generations to come. Some talented students may need a bit more financial support to start their university education, so for me, it\u2019s about giving the opportunity to others to succeed. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I like that the school keeps changing with time and is responsive to trends and feedback. I can see Hult building on its strengths, continuing to build a strong portfolio of courses and professors, and getting more talented, high-caliber students on board. I think additional funding that will come through the President\u2019s Fund will help to build the momentum.\u00a0 <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

For me, it\u2019s about giving the opportunity to others to succeed. \u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
