Moving to a new place to study may sound overwhelming, but every year new students pack their bags and move to a new\u00a0city\u00a0to attend university. What\u2019s it really like?<\/p>\n

Meet some of our current students from our London<\/strong>, Boston,<\/strong> and San Francisco<\/strong> campuses as they offer their advice and tell us about embarking on their Bachelor of Business Administration degree and their overall Hult experience so far.<\/p>\n

Meet Adria Serrarols Soldevila<\/strong><\/h3>\n

\nClass of 2020<\/p>\n

\"Adria<\/p>\n

Why did you choose London as your home campus?<\/strong>
\nI chose London because it’s one of the most beautiful cities I’ve ever been to.\u00a0I was most excited to meet people from all around the world, sharing new experiences and discovering new cultures<\/p>\n

How did you know that Hult was the right school for you?<\/strong>
\nI chose Hult for two main reasons. Firstly, because it’s an international school. Secondly, for its type of curriculum and approach to teaching. Here, the personal approach allows you to get to know all faculty and staff on campus who are always happy to help you at any time.<\/p>\n

What’s your favorite area of the city to hang out in?<\/strong>
\nIf I had to choose one, it would have to be Shoreditch. It’s super close to the undergraduate campus, and you can find a mix of cultures there.<\/p>\n

What societies\/clubs are you involved with on campus?<\/strong>
\nI’m a member of the board for two clubs: Head of Communications for the rugby team, and Vice President of the Hult Pride Society. The Pride Society is a brand-new club here at the London campus, and our aim is to empower students of the LGTBQIA+ community, as well as open the club to every student and faculty who want to know more. I’m also a member of other clubs, such as the Hult Management and consulting Club, the Chocolate Society or The Courage which is the student Newspaper.<\/p>\n

“Embrace the change and it will definitely change your life.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

What advice would you give to incoming students who have never lived away from home before?<\/strong>
\nI come from a small town close to Barcelona, so have never lived in a big city like London. The weeks before moving, I was scared but excited to discover this great city. If I had to give one piece of advice, it would be to try not to be afraid of experiencing new things. Embrace the change and it will definitely change your life.<\/p>\n

Why did you choose San Francisco as your home campus?<\/strong>
\nI wanted to go to the San Francisco campus because I’ve always admired the city. With all places to explore like beautiful hikes and tourist spots made living there seem like a dream.<\/p>\n

How did you know Hult was the right School for you?<\/strong>
\nI was looking for diversity, new experiences, new environments, and a well-recommended business course. When I began looking and came across Hult, it met all my expectations.<\/p>\n

What were you most excited about when coming to Hult?<\/strong>
\nI was really excited, and still am every day, to live in a city with an amazing cultural diversity.<\/p>\n

What advice would you give to incoming students who have never lived away from home before?<\/strong>
\nI would say that it’s important, when moving anywhere new, to keep an open mind. San Francisco has a lot to offer. With an open mind, it can bring you many amazing experiences.<\/p>\n

\"Jessica<\/p>\n

Why did you choose Boston as your home campus?<\/strong>
\nBoston is a city with many amazing features, one being its great location that allows you to travel to and from different places in the world. Besides its location, it was also named the number one start-up city in the United States in 2017 which is a significant advantage for us as business students. Boston is also an international city and many opportunities can arise from living in such a diverse environment.<\/p>\n

What were you most excited about when coming to Hult?<\/strong>
\nAs international students from Mexico and Germany, we were excited to face a new culture and take advantage of the historical roots of such a great city. We have noticed that the internationality of this city encourages students from diverse backgrounds to feel at home which is important when you’re far away from home. Being surrounded by so many different cultures haps you not only by teaching you new things but also enable you to grow as a person.<\/p>\n

What’s your favorite area of the city to hang out in?<\/strong>
\nOne of our favorite places to hang out at is Chinatown and Cambridge Economic Opportunity. Chinatown because it makes us feel like we are back home in Asia, and Cambridge Economic Opportunity because it helps us grow as future leaders of this world by giving back to those in need. Besides from Chinatown and CEO, we also like to hang out at museums. They’re a place where anyone can go to relax and think or to go with your friends to see some beautiful pieces of art.<\/p>\n

What societies\/clubs are you involved with on campus?<\/strong>
\nOne of us is Vice President of the Comfort via Discomfort Club here in Boston. We’re also enrolled in other clubs, such as Hiking, Marketing, Women in Business, and we’re planning on starting a Community Service Club next semester.<\/p>\n

“Everything we do is relevant to our future in business.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

How did you know Hult was the right school for you?<\/strong>
\nBecause the school has such a diverse student body and has business at the core of everything. Everything we do and learn is relevant to our future in business. Besides the school’s business environment, we also chose Hult because of how international the school is. Students from all over the world get to experience living in a space surrounded by different nationalities and what unites us as a whole.<\/p>\n

What advice would you give to incoming students who have never lived away from home before?<\/strong>
\nKnow that it’s going to be a little bit hard sometimes. Having said that, everyone around you is also going to be experiencing the same kind of situation which means that they can offer you support and advice. Living on your own can be challenging at first, but it’s essential that you surround yourself with people that love you and care about your wellbeing.<\/p>\n
