My home campus is London.<\/strong> However, I decided to take advantage of\u00a0Hult’s Global Campus Rotation <\/strong>program over the summer because I wanted to experience Hult life on a different campus.<\/p>\n

One of my dreams was to visit Dubai. <\/strong>I chose to rotate here because it’s\u00a0a place that’s very different to where I have been or what I’ve experienced before.<\/p>\n

Studying business in the Middle East<\/h3>\n

Another reason Dubai grabbed my attention was that I was interested in the classes that were being offered there. While studying at the Dubai campus<\/strong><\/a>, I took Branding<\/strong> and Luxury Marketing<\/strong>, both of which are relevant for my major in Marketing.<\/p>\n

The Branding class was a great experience. Our final project<\/strong> was with a water brand from Europe who was struggling to get into the competitive market in the Middle East. We had to implement the concepts learned in class<\/strong> and re-brand the company according to our findings. This helped me to better understand how business works in the Middle East and what is needed to stay ahead of the competition.<\/p>\n

Luxury Marketing was also a great experience, as we had various field trips to companies<\/strong> and events. The most interesting one for me was the field trip we did to\u00a0Arab Luxury World<\/strong><\/a>, one of the biggest conferences about luxury marketing in the world.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

“This helped me to better understand how business works in the Middle East and what is needed to stay ahead of the competition.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Unforgettable cultural experiences<\/h3>\n

I was in Dubai during Ramadan<\/strong>, and one of my most memorable experiences was breaking the fast together<\/strong> (iftar<\/em>) as part of a trip. From that trip, I was able to experience culture in a traditional way.<\/p>\n

Another memorable experience was during the safari trip we took to the desert outside of Dubai. It was a high-adrenaline trip, with beautiful landscape and moments<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

“I was able to experience culture in a traditional way.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Fun fact:<\/strong> The main image on this blog article is a photo I took at the\u00a0Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque<\/strong> in Abu Dhabi, which we were able to visit during our time in the U.A.E.<\/p>\n

Advice to future Hult students<\/h3>\n

I highly recommend studying in Dubai or at another campus at some point during your Bachelor of Business Administration<\/strong><\/a> degree.<\/p>\n

For me, one of the reasons I chose Hult was because of the opportunities to rotate to different campuses. It is a great opportunity to learn about different cultures<\/strong> and how things are done in that region.<\/p>\n

(Tip: if you choose to go to Dubai, the one place you need<\/em> to visit is the Gold Souk Market<\/strong>.)<\/p>\n
