Why People Find It Hard to Change: A Masterclass With Judith Parsons

Free live masterclass from Hult International Business School

Join Professor Judith Parsons for an interactive masterclass exploring why humans are inherently resistant to change—and what managers can do about it.

Why do people resist change—even when it clearly makes sense?

Many leaders assume it’s because people don’t get it or simply don’t want to embrace a new way of working. But what if resistance isn’t a problem to overcome, but a signal worth listening to?

In this interactive masterclass, leadership and change specialist Judith Parsons will explore the psychology behind resistance to change—and why it's often misunderstood by even the most experienced managers. She’ll help you reframe resistance not as friction, but as insight—and give you the tools to respond with empathy, clarity, and confidence.

You’ll Learn:

  • A different perspective on why people really resist change

  • Practical strategies for engaging with resistance

  • Frameworks for supporting teams and individuals through transitions
