As an integral part of your studies, you’ll hone your skills with real-world Core Challenges. With each challenge, you’ll put the theory you’ve learned into practice. You’ll use design thinking to create new startup ideas, develop solutions to combat some of the world’s most pressing social issues, and become adept at confidently pitching your ideas.
Social Impact Challenge
The Social Impact Challenge is modeled on the prestigious Hult Prize student competition, which is dedicated to launching the world’s next wave of social entrepreneurs. You and your team will be challenged to think globally and responsibly to solve a pressing social issue. Your challenge topic could range from improving education in developing nations to addressing the refugee crisis. This challenge will help you to think about corporate responsibility and the power business has to do well by doing good.
Capstone: Hult Business Challenge
Bring your own startup to market or solve a global corporation's innovation challenge in this final, capstone project. Entrepreneurs, you will be supported by our in-house accelerator, Hult Founders Lab, and compete against other teams in your final pitch to investors.
Corporate contenders, finalists will pitch their ideas directly to the client. In 2017, Amazon asked students to help them grow their startup platform. For 2018, F1 giant McLaren wanted ideas on how they can diversify sponsorship, and trailblazing crowd-sourced platform Yelp has challenged students to find new ways to increase their user-generated content.
We are excited to be working with the entrepreneurial students from Hult on the 2017 Hult Business Challenge. Partnering with Hult will enable us to leverage the perspective and skills of their globally-minded undergraduate students to help us continue to improve the support we provide startups on Amazon Launchpad.
