Wikipedia founder Jimmy Wales delivered an inspirational speech to 600 attendees at Hult's San Francisco campus on February 2, 2012, revealing how companies around the world are adopting the open-source technology that made his free encyclopedia a global success.
Hult International Business School in San Francisco is honored to present the Executive Speaker Series with the founder of Wikipedia, Jimmy Wales, on February 2, 2012.
Mr. Wales will discuss "A ‘Wiki’ Future and its Implications for Business" and will review how open-source and open-content technology will affect the fundamental ways that businesses interact with customers, distributors, suppliers, and the public in the future.

In 2001, Jimmy Wales launched Wikipedia, a free, open content encyclopedia that enjoyed rapid growth and popularity, becoming the world’s largest encyclopedia. His role in creating Wikipedia prompted Time magazine to name him in its 2006 list of the world’s most influential people. Wales serves on the Board of Trustees of the Wikimedia Foundation, the non-profit charitable organization he helped establish to operate Wikipedia, holding its board-appointed position as “community founder.”
