Hult's Master Degree Program
(4 years)

Earning credits towards a degree

The credit, sometimes called the credit hour or the semester hour, is the basic unit of value for coursework used in almost all American universities. Each course at Hult is worth 3 credits. Most students take 30 credits per year, consisting of 4 courses each fall, 4 courses each winter, and 2 courses each spring, although Hult’s flexible structure allows you to complete your degree in less time by taking up to 36 credits per year. A Bachelor's degree requires the successful completion of at least 120 credits.

Hult degree structure

Hult’s undergraduate program has seven essential components: Business Fundamentals, Communication Skills, Liberal Arts, Global Knowledge, Concentration, Open Electives, and Action Projects:

Business Fundamentals These core courses provide students with a solid foundation in the functional areas of business and today's global business environment: Accounting and Finance, Marketing, Economics, Organizational Behavior, Business Ethics, Leadership, and Strategy.

Communication Skills Hult trains students in the key communication skills needed to succeed in any profession: writing, speaking, researching, working in global teams, and the powers of persuasion.

Liberal Arts These core courses introduce students to a range of academic disciplines and ways of studying the world. They aim to build a foundation of broad knowledge and understanding expected of all well educated people in areas such as history and society, arts and humanities, science and technology, and ethics and philosophy

Global Knowledge Deepening their understanding of the core areas of the liberal arts, global knowledge courses in Year Three and Year Four allow students to choose a specialization in a region of the world, a foreign language, an advanced liberal arts category, and a topic relevant to today’s global politics.

Concentration After building a solid foundation in Business Fundamentals, all students choose a concentration in which they will develop in-depth expertise in a single field. Hult offers concentrations in management, marketing, finance, general business, and social entrepreneurship.

Open Electives Hult offers all students the chance to take 5 courses (15 credits) in any subject of their choice. These open electives allow students the flexibility and freedom to pursue a second area of expertise, hone their professional skills, or simply explore a topic about which they are passionate.
