The Hult Global Case Challenge, the world’s largest crowd-sourcing platform for social change, wins the NACE Innovation Excellence Award

(Boston – June 19, 2012) The Hult Global Case Challenge was recognized as the Global Initiatives – Small College Winner at the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) in Las Vegas last week.

Started three years ago by Hult International Business School graduate Ahmad Ashkar, the Hult Global Case Challenge is the largest and most respected initiative of its kind. Harnessing the power of crowd sourcing, the Hult Global Case Challenge attracts students from over 350 colleges and universities each year to provide solutions to the real challenges facing sector-leading not-for-profit organizations. In 2012, the Hult Global Case Challenge partnered with Habitat for Humanity, which builds affordable housing; SolarAid, which brings renewable energy to impoverished communities; and One Laptop Per Child, which provides low-cost computers to children.

The NACE Innovation Excellence Awards recognize the hard work and professionalism of NACE members. This nationally recognized award acknowledges the best college or employer program in the categories of diversity, research, marketing and branding, technology, student engagement and global initiatives. The Global Initiatives award recognizes programs that focus on information exchange, study abroad, employment or career development of new college graduates world-wide.

Among the winners recognized for their achievements at the NACE Innovation Excellence Award gala dinner in Las Vegas, Nevada were Ernst and Young, Schlumberger, New York University, PwC, Princeton University, KPMG, Liberty Mutual, AT&T, and Carnegie Mellon University.

Hult President Dr Stephen Hodges added: “The Hult Global Case Challenge is an important part of Hult’s push to encourage social entrepreneurship among talented students from around the world. Through this visionary kind of crowd-sourcing we are giving NGOs access to a wealth of new ideas and perspectives that help them grow stronger.”
