The competition, run jointly by The Independent, a British national newspaper and the Association of MBAs (AMBA), distinguishes global leaders with an exceptional track-record in leadership and academic excellence.
Hult International Business School, an AMBA accredited global business school with campuses in Boston, San Francisco, London, Dubai and Shanghai, nominated Julie Brown, a 2011 MBA candidate for this year's award. The Independent MBA Student of the Year Award is a long-standing and coveted tribute to MBA students from every continent.
The MBA of the Year Award is designed to recognize today's business school talent and the contribution that MBA students make to society and the development of the MBA qualification worldwide. Julie Brown's unwavering dedication, inspirational leadership, and academic merit have made her a bona fide ambassador for the MBA. With her common sense and down-to-earth attitude, Julie Brown believes her MBA "will act not only as an achievement tool, but as a window for exploring the world and experiencing cultures she once could only dream about."
Henrik Totterman, Dean of Hult's Boston campus asserts, "Julie's experience as a Senior Consultant with Booz Hamilton and her political exposure, having worked for the White House and the Department of Homeland Security, make her an exceptional candidate for this award."
The winner of the MBA of the Year Award will be announced at the Association of MBAs' annual Gala Dinner, which will take place on Wednesday, October 19th at the Royal Garden Hotel, Kensington, London.
