Chief Executive of The Princes Trust comes to London campus for Hult Prize

Martina Milburn, the Chief Executive of The Princes Trust will come to Hult House to present 'How to run a social enterprise as a high performing business.' Bringing with her some young ambassadors from The Princes Trust, Martina and company will share stories of their social enterprise and offer inspiration for the audience in preparation for the upcoming Hult Prize registration deadline Friday November 2nd 2012.

Martina joined The Trust in May 2004, after having been Chief Executive of the BBC Children in Need Appeal since 2000. Martina trained and began her career as a journalist, established the Press and Communications function for the Catholic Fund for Overseas Development (CAFOD) and worked on a freelance basis for a range of charities. She then held the post of Chief Executive of the Association of Spinal Injury Research, Rehabilitation and Reintegration (ASPIRE) - a service delivery charity - for seven years, growing the staff from five to 100. In this role Martina was responsible for the development of Europe's first integrated arts, sports and rehabilitation centre.

In the 2012 New Year honours list, Martina received a CBE for services to charity.

The Princes Trust

The Prince's Trust is a charity in the United Kingdom founded in 1976 by Charles, Prince of Wales to help young people. They run a range of training programmes, provide mentoring support and offer financial grants to build the confidence and motivation of disadvantaged young people. Each year they work with 40,000 young people, with around 80% moving on to Employment, Education, Training or Volunteering.
