Chris McCormick

Brilliant leadership, cutting-edge innovation, and a highly engaged global workforce drive strong and sustained revenue growth, but what lies at the root of these three pillars of performance? Chris McCormick will share the latest research across 500 companies exploring the impact of clear communication and inclusive training on the ability to prosper. Chris will asses findings reflect on those companies who best demonstrate the most commitment to these critical (yet often neglected) factors, identified as “Global Fluency Leaders”, enjoy remarkable success in exceeding their targets.

Stephan Schubert

The secret of strategy is that there is no strategy for strategy making! Dr Stephan Schubert will use this famous quip by Henry Mintzberg to take a fresh look at an ongoing controversy in the strategy industry: why strategies are never made the way consultants or academics tell us they are (analysis, planning, and rational decision making). He will offer some classic examples and some new findings on how organisational routines, systems, processes, culture and politics are the main driver of strategy making. Understanding what these drivers are is the first step of (re)taking control of the strategy process.

Hans Meyer

Hans Mayer is in aviation for more than 38 years now. Having started as a maintenance technician he knew that working in aviation means to never stop learning. Decisively he went on and became Technical Instructor whilst finishing his Master in Pedagogy with focus on adult learning. For him, learning goes straight with quality, so he successfully completed his studies in Quality Management.

Today he is the responsible senior person of Lufthansa Technik, managing the qualification and authorization system for the Product Division Maintenance. He strongly believes the Human Factor is a key element to success. Saying this, one of his main projects is to standardize trainings within the Lufthansa Group, also including language training. In November 2017, Hans Mayer became president of the European Aviation Maintenance Training Committee, which is an independent Foundation comprising training organizations and those in associated enterprises.

At the EF/ Ashridge seminar Hans Mayer will give insights on the topic “Qualification and Motivation in International Markets” and will invite you to an open discussion.
