Temporary Accommodation

When you first arrive in London, you will want to get your accommodation organized as quickly as possible. It is common for students to stay in temporary accommodation while they search for something more permanent. Dependent upon your budget, the following options are available:

1. Hostels

Hostels are a great way to meet new people and make friends as soon as you arrive in London. Hostels are much cheaper than hotels and in some cases charge as little as £15 a night for a bed, especially if you are prepared to share rooms and facilities with other guests. Although you are sharing a room with others, most Hostels will have facilities where you can lock away all of your valuables like your passport, laptop, travelers checks, and anything else for safe keeping. Hostel facilities will normally have wireless internet, communal lounges, shared kitchen facilities, and a bar.

Museum Inn Hostel - A five-minute walk from Hult Russell Square and ten-minute walk to Hult House. Museum Inn Hostel is right opposite the British Museum and only a 15-minute walk to the vibrant West End.

The Generator Hostel - A five-minute walk from Hult Russell Square. The Generator Hostel is located in Tavistock Square and has single rooms as well as sharing rooms. There is free wireless internet, free towels, walking tours, and breakfast for a small fee.

London Hostels Association Ltd  - London Hostels Association was originally set up to provide shelter to those who had lost their homes during World War II. Now they provide accommodation to international students, holidaymakers, and particularly people moving to London for the first time. They have 13 different hostels available in London with a variety of rooms available, such as single, shared, and dormitory style rooms.

UK Youth Hostel Association - The UK Youth Hostel Association (YHA) have seven hostels across London located in Holland Park, Earls Court, Oxford Street, Central London, Kings Cross, St. Paul's, and Thameside. The YHA sites closest to both Hult campuses are Kings Cross, Central London, and St. Paul's. All other sites are still easily accessible via bus or Underground. All facilities have single, shared, and dormitory style rooms available with wireless internet access, laundry facilities, and catering.

 

2. Bed & Breakfast Hotels

Bed & Breakfast Hotels offer you very basic, but clean and comfortable accommodation at a reasonable price. Breakfast is included; however, do check if the bathroom is en-suite or shared. The following is a selection of Bed & Breakfast hotels in the Bloomsbury area:

3. Hotels

There are hundreds of hotels across Central London that can be booked well in advance online. Most hotels will have wireless internet and you will have the privacy of your own bathroom. Prices will vary depending on the hotel. The following is a selection of local hotels in the Bloomsbury area near the Russell Square campus and Hult House Campus.

Holiday Inn Bloomsbury
The Holiday Inn Bloomsbury is located about ten minutes away from both Hult campuses. Rooms are fully equipped with air conditioning, wireless internet, Pay-per-View entertainment, and are close to all local amenities and transport. Hotel Russell
Hotel Russell is a beautiful Victorian 4* hotel on Russell Square and has recently undergone a £20 million refurbishment. Hotel Russell is located 3 minutes walk from the Russell Square campus and 10 minutes walk from the Hult House campus. Hult has also discounted corporate rates available. Hotel room rates in the Russell Square area are normally upwards of £182 (not including breakfast). My Hotel - Bloomsbury
My Hotel Bloomsbury is a contemporary space to meet and eat and a tranquil room to think and sleep with a hip interior design from Conran & Partners. My Hotel Bloomsbury is located 7 minute walk from Russell Square Campus and 14 minute walk to Hult House Holborn Campus. Hult has also negotiated discounted corporate rates for our students. Imperial Hotels
Imperial Hotels are a chain of six hotels (Imperial, Bedford, President, Royal National, Tavistock, and County) all located in the Bloomsbury area, and are all approximately a 10-15 minute walk to both Hult campuses.

Ambassadors Bloomsbury
Located on Upper Woburn Place, Ambassadors Hotel is about a 15-minute walk from both campuses. Rooms are fully equipped with air conditioning, free wireless internet, and LCD plasma screens.

Goodenough Club
Overlooking picturesque Mecklenburgh Square, Goodenough Club is located about ten minutes away from both Hult campuses and features furnished en-suite bedrooms with unlimited wireless access.

Hotel Ibis Euston
Hotel Ibis is located about a 20-minute walk away from both Hult campuses. Rooms are fully equipped with free wireless internet and Satellite TV. Premier Travel Inn
There are two Premier Travel Inns (Kings Cross and Euston) located within walking distance from both Hult campuses. Premier Travel Inn rooms are equipped with air conditioning, Satellite TV, and wireless internet. They are clean and modern.

4. Short-term Letting
