Cari Guittard is a Professor of Women’s Leadership, Corporate Diplomacy and International Negotiations at Hult International Business School and is Founding Principal of Global Engagement Partners (GEP) an on demand corporate diplomacy consultancy. Guittard’s career has spanned the globe with numerous projects and client efforts in the Middle East, Africa, Asia, and Latin America. Prior to launching GEP, Guittard served as Executive Director of Business for Diplomatic Action, a private sector led public diplomacy non-profit. Prior to BDA Guittard served in several senior roles at the US Department of State with portfolios that included cyber security, infrastructure protection, political military affairs, and public diplomacy. A noted speaker, writer and facilitator, Guittard began developing and delivering graduate courses in Corporate Diplomacy and Geopolitical Risk in 2010 for the University of Southern California Masters of Public Diplomacy Program and then in 2011 a Women’s Leadership course for the Hult International Business School in Dubai.
Cari Guittard serves in an adjunct faculty capacity for the Hult International Business School in San Francisco and Dubai teaching courses in Women’s Leadership, Corporate Diplomacy and International Negotiations. Prior to Hult, Guittard served as adjunct faculty for the USC Annenberg Master’s Program in Public Diplomacy and the USF School of Management developing and teaching graduate courses in Corporate Diplomacy and Global Management & Geopolitical Risk. Guittard has served as a guest lecturer to numerous graduate schools to include the Yale School of Management, Harvard Kennedy School, and Fletcher. Further, and as part of Guittard’s consulting practice, she regularly leads executive education seminars on a variety of global issues for corporate clients in the US and abroad.
Earlier in her career, Guittard developed and regularly taught courses in Cyber Security, Infrastructure Protection and Strategic Influence at the Diplomatic Security Training Center (DSTC), Marine Security Guard (MSG) School at Quantico, the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC), Foreign Service Institute (FSI) and several war colleges and military academies in the US and abroad.
