Dr. Mike Cooray has extensive international business experience working in the UK, Australia, South East Asia and Europe. His expertise is in contemporary strategic management issues including innovation, brand management and digital business transformation.
He currently leads several executive education initiatives with our clients in Europe, UK and the Middle East. He is also the Academic Director for degree apprenticeships and leads several courses at Hult campuses in London, Dubai and Shanghai.
Mike has undertaken consultancy, research and training across the world including the US, Canada, India, Germany, Denmark, Switzerland, Sri Lanka, Vietnam and Malaysia. Mike has a broader remit for research projects initiatives for the Ashridge MBA, MBA for the Creative Industries and the Masters in Management.
Prior to Ashridge, Mike led new product and market expansion initiatives at Carlsberg, Siemens and Mercedes Benz. Mike also has significant higher education experience in roles such as Director of Executive MBA Programmes and Head of Marketing Group.
Mike has published several articles in the area of digital transformation in the Independent, the World Economic Forum, Discover, Sydney Herald and quoted in the New York Times. He holds an MBA with distinction, an MSc in Practice-based Research and a PGCE. His PhD research looked at entrepreneurial business practices and innovation in organizations.
