Mark lectures and consults on leadership for Ashridge Hult. He was the Director of Leadership responsible for research and custom executive education and founder of the Ashridge Public Leadership Centre delivering innovative senior leadership programmes for UK and international clients. He founded the Middle East office in the United Arab Emirates and led the Middle East business. His client work focuses on leadership and senior team development in government, public services
Mark has also been the Chief Executive of the Leadership Foundation for Higher Education specialising in leadership development for UK Universities and a Principal Consultant for Price Waterhouse Coopers specialising in change programmes for multi-national corporations and international NGOs working in several continents. Mark has written several books and numerous articles on leadership, higher education and public sector reform.
Mark gained a Masters in Modern History at Corpus Christi College, Oxford and a Doctorate in Social Sciences at Nuffield College, Oxford. He is a Companion of the Institute of Management and Fellow of the Institute of Personnel and Development. He is a governor of Dr Challoner’s Grammar School, one of the top 20 state schools in England.
