Jon joined Ashridge in 2004 and works on developing and delivering tailored programmes primarily for public sector clients. Occasionally he also directs and contributes to open programmes. His particular interests are the development of excellent leaders for the public and not-for profit-sectors and organisational cultural change, including how organisations embrace and value diversity.

Jon's career began at the Civil Service Fast Stream. Having worked on the re-nationalisation of London Underground and the privatisation of British Airways, he trained as an accountant. He later joined the Historic Royal Palaces Agency as Group Finance Manager. In 1998 he became Deputy Director of the British Film Institute. Here he took lead responsibility for the new BFI IMAX Cinema at Waterloo - a £15m project delivered within time and budget, following which he was promoted to Chief Executive. Jon left the BFI in 2002 and has since consulted for clients including the BBC, the National Film and Television School, the Department for Culture, Media & Sport and the UK Film Council.
