Ilze specializes in leadership and management development at top, senior and middle levels. Her focus areas include the interface between leadership, teamwork, change and strategy implementation. She has a special interest in helping individuals gain greater self-awareness in order to understand how their mental models, emotions and mental patterns impact their process of dealing with complexity, power and politics, and how this impacts strategic decision-making and strategy implementation in organizations.
Ilze is also the Academic Director for the Ashridge Masters in Management program and she is a specialist in helping organizations maximise the potential of technology in blended and online learning and development solutions.
When working with groups or individuals Ilze combines a challenging and stimulating style – encouraging participants to explore their assumptions and the paradigms within which they operate – with a dedicated support to accompany them in experimenting with new ways of thinking and working. She has an MBA (with distinction) from Ashridge and is currently completing her second doctorate (DBA) at the University of Liverpool. Her current research interest focus is on the process of organizational-identity formation post-merger.
