David is Professor of Marketing at Hult and has held a number of senior academic roles over the past fifteen years in two business schools. From developing courses at Undergraduate and pre-experience Masters level at Anglia Ruskin University to originating the first non-MBA Masters at Henley Business School, David has had high-level success in programme development. David has also been an active participant in senior committees and approvals teams for projects such as QAA audits, MBA programme verification and AMBA at Henley Business School. As an Academic Leader, David was Director of the School of Growth, Innovation & Enterprise leading members of the marketing, strategy and finance faculty, Subject Area Leader for Marketing, Branding and MBA Electives, Academic Director for Microsoft's EMEA Marketing Academy and lead Academic for the innovative MSc in Strategic Marketing Leadership. In 2008, he was awarded their Global Top Trainer award for his work in building and developing their high-flying marketing talent.
David has developed a clear and growing public platform in executive practitioner markets in the UK and globally. His media profile has increased with his regular contributions in the Daily Telegraph plus writing and interviews in or with the BBC, The Financial Times, The Economist, The Guardian, The Independent, Le Monde, The Spectator, Borsen, South China Morning Post, CNN and many others. Over the past 10 years, David has built up an impressive array of contacts, clients and relationships with major 'C-level' executives across the world through his teaching, consulting and leading of Executive Education programs.
David is also very well know to HR, Marketing and OD specialists across the Executive Education market from his frequent appearances and writing on personal development and leadership branding. David worked for a number of large advertising agencies in senior Client Direction roles for world-class brands such as Canon, Unilever, Mercedes, Shell, 3M and Audi. David is known both in Europe and the United States where his appearances at Marketing Science events have bought him into contact with many leading and influential marketing academics and practitioners. Outside of Henley Business School, David has also taught at Rotterdam School of Management and for Wharton amongst others.
