Hult Executive Speaker Series

Hult is proud to present Jessica Jackley.

Executive Speaker Series - Co-founder of Kiva

    Boston - United States

Hult’s Executive Speaker Series heads to Boston on February 13th for an inspiring story of how one simple idea can transform the lives of others from the pioneering co-founder of KIVA, the world’s first online lending platform.

Jessica will appear on February 13th to narrate her journey from a determined yet frustrated schoolchild to successful social entrepreneur and change-maker.

Motivated by childhood tales of poverty and a speech by Nobel Peace Prize winner Muhammad Yunus, Jessica quit her job to travel to Africa and discover how micro-financing can empower the world’s poorest populations.

    “Loans that change lives.”

Named one of the top ideas in 2006 by The New York Times Magazine, KIVA connects entrepreneurs in some of the world’s poorest regions with individual lenders. Loans as little as $25 USD have financed over 937,920 different projects in 210 countries with an average repayment rate of 99.01%.

Like Hult itself, Jessica Jackley is committed to uniting individuals across the world to foster entrepreneurship and bring about social change. We are delighted to give the Hult community the opportunity to connect with such a pioneering and inspirational agent of social change.
